Library offer chance to exercise your body, brain Leave a comment

Jacksonville Public Library will offer a series of fitness classes via Zoom.

Ageless Grace is designed to improve both body and brain health using neuroplasticity — the brain’s ability to change structure and functionality through movement, music and play.

Practiced while sitting in a chair, it is preventive maintenance for most people, restorative for seniors and developmental for children. It uses 21 exercise “tools” to focus on balance, breath, muscle strength, cardiovascular health, brain fitness, spinal flexibility, joint mobility, humor, camaraderie and play.

It is designed for almost anyone, including those with physical disabilities or challenges, to participate at their own level.

An introductory class will be at 6:30 p.m. May 4 with a six-week series of classes following at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday starting May 18.

To register and receive Zoom login information, email Sarah Snyder at ssnyder@jaxpl.org.
