Tampa, Florida — Port Tampa Bay hosts its annual Hurricane Preparation Exercise on Wednesday.
This year, Port Tampa Bay is hosting this event for the ninth time. The event brings together local agencies to participate in choreography exercises to prepare for hurricane and tropical cyclone scenarios. This year’s event is virtual only.
The event starts at 8:30 am and ends at 11:30 am
“Our port is proud to prepare for emergencies. After a storm, our community relies on Port Tampa Bay to continue operations to bring fuel and cargo to our neighbors. This Annual exercises ensure that we work effectively with our partners and local emergency response agencies, ”explained Paul Anderson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Port Tampa Bay.
